Why an annual fund?

Parents sometimes ask, “Why do an annual fund? Why not just raise tuition?” This is a fair question with an important answer: Tuition keeps us going. The Annual Fund keeps us GROWING.

We keep costs and tuition low. Tuition at the Savannah Legacy Academy reflects the baseline subsistence needs of the school and minimizes barriers for economically diverse families. But the with the annual fund, we ask families to invest—to the level of their ability—in what makes the SLA more than just another private school.

Why should I give to the fund?

The Savannah Legacy Academy relies on the generosity of our community to accomplish our mission of “developing the whole person to the glory of God.” While tuition dollars cover the operational costs of education, additional support is needed to provide above-and-beyond classroom assistance in the form of equipment, professional development opportunities, and unparalleled educational opportunities.

Technology:

Funds raised will purchase student computers, 3-D printers, S.T.E.M. focused learning products, and class equipment. We believe these technologies will foster an environment of learning, collaboration, creation, and innovation.

Professional Development:

Providing purposeful and specific opportunities for 21st century knowledge, skills, and abilities will solidify the SLA as a school of the future.

Gym Complex::

Phase I of the gym complex project will be purchasing land for the gym complex build that will allow for spectator seating, locker rooms, exterior finishes, and signage.

Unrestricted Giving:

Support Savannah Legacy with an unrestricted gift to The Fund. Your donation will be used for the area of greatest need.
