Students continue the study of the art elements: color, shape, texture, value, form and space, gathering facts about these elements and developing skills which allow them to express their creativity. Students will experience drawing, painting,sculpting and an introduction to famous artists and their work.

Music: Students begin a spiral curriculum designed to build on their early music experiences. Students are introduced to the basic elements of music such as pitch, rhythm, tone, color, dynamics, form, and texture.These elements are taught through movement, listening activities, playing instruments, and musical games. Each grade level attends a musical field trip during the year.
