Aerospace & Civil Air Patrol at Savannah Legacy Academy
Inspiring Future Leaders Through Aviation and Aerospace Exploration
Savannah Legacy Academy is proud to launch our Civil Air Patrol (CAP) Program for middle school students—an exciting leadership and aerospace education initiative that introduces cadets to aviation, character development, emergency services, and STEM learning. As an official CAP School Program, our middle school scholars participate in structured training
that fosters discipline, responsibility, and citizenship, while exploring real-world applications in flight science, space, and national service.
Through Civil Air Patrol, students will have the opportunity to:
● Learn aerospace principles and flight mechanics
● Engage in leadership training and character-building challenges
● Participate in hands-on STEM activities and model aircraft projects
● Develop a service-oriented mindset through community involvement
This program opens doors to future opportunities in aviation, the military, emergency response, and STEM careers—while strengthening the values we instill every day at Savannah Legacy Academy.
Aerospace Elective: K–8 Exploration of the Sky and Beyond
In addition to the CAP program, Savannah Legacy Academy now offers a dynamic Aerospace Elective for all students in grades K–8. This schoolwide course introduces age-appropriate concepts in aviation, space science, rocketry, and engineering design. Students engage in creative, inquiry-based learning—building paper gliders, studying planets, simulating space missions, and exploring how science shapes the skies.
From kindergarten to 8th grade, our Aerospace program aims to:
● Spark curiosity about flight and space exploration
● Build foundational STEM knowledge
● Encourage critical thinking and hands-on experimentation
● Connect learning to real-world aerospace innovations
Whether students dream of becoming pilots, engineers, or astronauts, Savannah Legacy Academy is helping them take flight—one lesson at a time.
