While we recognize that tuition is a meaningful investment, we also understand it can be a stretch for many families.<\/p><p data-start=\"518\" data-end=\"697\">That\u2019s why we are committed to supporting qualified students through need-based financial aid, ensuring that talented and motivated learners have the opportunity to thrive at SLA.<\/p><h2>\u00a0<\/h2><h2><strong>Confidentiality:<\/strong><\/h2><p data-start=\"728\" data-end=\"811\">All financial aid information is handled with the highest level of confidentiality.<\/p><ul data-start=\"813\" data-end=\"1119\"><li data-section-id=\"sqp7uk\" data-start=\"813\" data-end=\"950\">Applications and awards are reviewed only by the Financial Aid Committee, and when necessary, the Head of School or Business Director<\/li><li data-section-id=\"1os033p\" data-start=\"951\" data-end=\"1036\">Financial aid decisions are private agreements between the school and each family<\/li><li data-section-id=\"8lyl9n\" data-start=\"1037\" data-end=\"1119\">Families are expected to maintain strict confidentiality regarding their award<\/li><\/ul><p data-start=\"1121\" data-end=\"1287\">For questions or communication regarding financial aid, families should contact <strong data-start=\"1201\" data-end=\"1221\">Ms. Denise Brown<\/strong>, Financial Aid\/Administrative Assistant to the Business Director.<\/p><p data-start=\"1289\" data-end=\"1407\">Failure to uphold confidentiality may result in the withdrawal of financial aid at any point during the academic year.<\/p><h2>\u00a0<\/h2><h2><strong>Making A Savannah Legacy Education Possible:<\/strong><\/h2><p data-start=\"1466\" data-end=\"1602\">Savannah Legacy Academy is an independent school in Georgia dedicated to building a diverse, talented, and mission-aligned student body.<\/p><p data-start=\"1604\" data-end=\"1823\">We offer <strong data-start=\"1613\" data-end=\"1641\">need-based financial aid<\/strong> to a limited number of students in <strong data-start=\"1677\" data-end=\"1711\">Kindergarten through 8th grade<\/strong>. While we strive to support families, available funds are limited and may not cover the full demonstrated need.<\/p><h4 data-start=\"1825\" data-end=\"1866\">\u00a0<\/h4><h4 data-start=\"1825\" data-end=\"1866\"><span role=\"text\"><strong data-start=\"1830\" data-end=\"1866\">How Financial Need is Determined<\/strong><\/span><\/h4><p data-start=\"1867\" data-end=\"1972\">To assess eligibility, families submit a <strong data-start=\"1908\" data-end=\"1944\">Parent Financial Statement (PFS)<\/strong>. Their legislative leadership resulted in what has been described as the nation\u2019s best education expense credit law. Through private contributions from corporate and philanthropic partners, Arete awards need-based K-12 scholarships and empowers parents to place their children in schools that best suit their unique gifts and learning needs.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Arete currently operates in Georgia under the state&#8217;s Tuition Tax Credit Scholarship Program and in Louisiana under the Tuition Donation Rebate Program. Scholarship eligibility is based on the income guidelines for the federal free and reduced lunch program (FRL), and award amounts range from $2,500 to $5,000 per year. Recipients are required to re-qualify each year.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong><em>Arete scholarships are based upon private funds. The program will provide eligible students with the opportunity to use public funds for non-public education expenses in grades kindergarten through 12th grade. Eligible uses include private school tuition, tutoring services, and other qualified education expenses.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For the first year of the program (the 2025 \u2013 2026 academic year), the scholarship amount is set by law at a maximum of $6,500.
